MDT Response

MDT response stands for multi-disciplinary team response– the MDT team is composed of representatives from law enforcement, child protective services, the District Attorney’s Office, medical field, mental health field, and SECAC staff. These representatives work together to coordinate intervention in order to reduce potential future trauma for children and their non-offending caregivers.

We recognize that child abuse is a multifaceted issue, and no single agency or individual has the necessary knowledge, skills or resources to serve all the needs of victimized children and their families. SECAC brings together wisdom and knowledge from professionals of different disciplines, which results in a better understanding of case issues and an effective child-focused response.
